13 August 2022 Ride

Cool morning and maybe a little damp but might be ok for a pleasant group ride before the predicted rain later in the morning. As usual rug up appropriately. Depart from Darnum at 8am.

Saturday will be partly cloudy with very high (95%) chance of showers, most likely from the late morning. Showers falling as snow above 1400 metres, lowering to above 1300 metres at night. The chance of a thunderstorm, most likely in the afternoon. Light winds becoming east to southeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the middle of the day then becoming light in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 2 and 6 with daytime temperatures reaching between 11 and 16.

6 August 2022 Ride

Hmmm… we may be in for a damp morning tomorrow. Nevertheless there may be a window for a reasonable ride. As usual, rug up for a damp ride. *am depart from Darnum.

30 July 2022 Ride

It may be cool to cold with a slight breeze tomorrow BUT no rain is forecast. Rug up I’d say to be comfortable. We start from Yarragon at 8am as it is the last Saturday of the month and also the last on this half of the year.

Areas of frost and the chance of fog in the morning and it will be mostly sunny. Light winds becoming northerly 15 to 20 km/h in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between minus 3 and zero with daytime temperatures reaching between 9 and 14.

23 July 2022 Ride

Hmm…… the forecast promises a cold, cloudy and foggy morning with slight breeze and no rain till later in the day. As usual, rug up for a cool ride. Darnum it tarting at 8am. Hopefully we will have those who had to isolate return to the group for a ride.

It will be cloudy with the chance of morning fog. Medium (50%) chance of showers in the west in the evening, slight (20%) chance elsewhere. Winds northwest to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h becoming light before dawn. Overnight temperatures falling to between 2 and 5 with daytime temperatures reaching between 12 and 16.

16 July 2022 Ride

Cold to freezing but a dry morning forecast for tomorrow. Hopefully it will not be foggy. Rug up and have your batteries charged and lights on for an 8am depart from Darnum.

Tomorrow to be partly cloudy with patches of morning frost about the ranges. Medium (60%) chance of showers about the ranges, slight (20%) chance elsewhere. Snow possible above 1200 metres. Winds north to northwesterly 25 to 40 km/h increasing to 30 to 45 km/h in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 1 and 5 with daytime temperatures reaching between 8 and 14.

Crap! The forecast for tomorrow does not look too promising. Nevertheless, let’s hope there will be a short window of reasonable weather for us to ride. Come prepared for a cold and damp ride.

Winds west to southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h becoming light early in the morning then becoming south to southeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the middle of the day. Overnight temperatures falling to between 2 and 6 with daytime temperatures reaching between 7 and 13.

2 July 2022 Ride

Cool with a slight change of rain (<1mm) and light breeze is predicted for tomorrow. This means we should have reasonable weather for a pleasant ride.

Update: After two calls to Vicroads we now have a button to press at the railway intersection with Princes Highway in Yarragon. This button is on a post behind the guard rail on the Yarragon Shadycreek Road intersection. No need to wait for a car to rigger our light for us to cress.

It will be cool but will not be raining according the the forecast. Nevertheless come prepared for any potential weather change. We have just past the winter solstice and there will be more sunlight in the days to come. It’s also the last Saturday of June so we start from Yarragon at 8am.

18 June 2022 Ride

High time we should get better weather after a very wet and cold week. The forecast for tomorrow looks like it is on the improve. Catch up for our usual ride from Darnum departing at 8am.

Ian will be an apology and hopes to ride on Sunday with the clock tower group.

11 June 2022 Ride

Well winter has hit us with a vengeance with cold wet and windy weather. Unfortunately tomorrow is forecast to continue to be wet and dreary. There might be however a small window where we might be able to ride. Come prepared for a cold damp ride. Coffee if the weather proves to be to bad to it the road.
