Christmas breakup ride 4 Dec 2015

Thanks to Kevin R our Christmas breakup ride has been organised and starts from Gypsy Creek Winery (not Brandy Creek Winery at 8am. There will be a steady paced 30km ride to Jindivick and back and a longer ride for those who want to ride further and faster.There will be platters of food and coffee / tea when we return. Cost $5 per head. All welcome.

Please not that Labertouche Road is closed because of bridge works so take Fishes Road detour to get to Gypsy Creek Winery.

As a plus Kevin advises that he has organised perfect weather for the morning.

28 November 2015 Ride

It will be the lastSaturday of November so we be starting from Brandy Creek Winery at 8am. The weather will be mild hopefully dry. It promises to be a  little cloudy with slight (30%) chance of a shower in the southwest, near zero chance elsewhere. Light winds with daytime temperatures reaching between 19 and 23.

Reminder that our Christmas breakup will be at Gypsy creek Winery the following Saturday (5 December 2015). As previously announced the ride is planned to start at 8:30am and finishing for light finger food brunch at the winery. Cost $5 per head. We need to know numbers attending so please advise Kevin Roberts or Ian if you are attending.

21 November 2015 Ride

The wet weather has returned however tomorrow promisses to be better than today. It will be partly cloudy with 40% of rain in the morning according to the forecast. Wet or not there will be a ride tomorrow starting from Darnum at 8am.

Reminder that our Christmas break up ride is on Saturday 5 December 2015 from Gypsy Creek Winery where we will have a break up brunch. $5 per head with catering same as previous years. All welcome.

We need to confirm numbers so please let Ian de B or Kevin R know if you are attending and weather you will be bring along friends or relatives.

Christmas is fast approaching so as in previous years Kevin R has kindly put his hand up and has organised a break up rime from Gypsy Creek Winery starting at 8:30am for an easy paced ride in various bunches to Jindivick and back for brunch. Cost $5 per head.

For catering we need to know numbers so could you let Ian de B or Kevin R if you are going to be part of this ride.

14 November Ride

Ride conditions tomorrow promised to be ideal for a ride. Start at 8am (no change) from Darnum for all groups. Please ride carefully and safely with rear lights on.

Weather prediction for tomorrow – partly cloudy with medium (40%) chance of showers, most likely in the afternoon and early evening. Light winds becoming southwesterly 15 to 20 km/h in the middle of the day then becoming light in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 4 and 8 with daytime temperatures reaching between 15 and 19. Ideal!

7 November 2015 Ride

Well the weather men (or should I say weather people) are saying that it might be a little damp tomorrow morning. Nevertheless there will be a ride from Darnum starting at our usual time at 8:00am for the different groups.

Our forecasters say it will be partly cloudy with medium (40%) chance of showers in the morning. Winds westerly 15 to 25 km/h tending southwesterly in the morning then becoming light in the late evening. Daytime temperatures reaching between 15 and 20.

 

2015 Melbourne Cup Ride

The weather men say tomorrow’s weather will be mild with little chance of rain. Responding to popular demand there will be a 40+ km ride from Yarragon. The plan is to ride along North Canal Road, turn left at Willowgrove Road and then left into Sale Road Road. The return journey will be along Araluen Road, Yarragon Shady Creek Road back to Yarragon for some good coffee.

Meet in the carp ark at the rear of the shops For an 8:30am start.

It will be partly cloudy with aslight (30%) chance of rain Light winds becoming easterly 15 to 25 km/h in the morning then increasing to 20 to 30 km/h in the early afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 4 and 8 with daytime temperatures reaching between 17 and 21

31 october 2015 – Brandy Creek Winery

Well it’s the last Saturday of the month. This means that we start from Brandy Creek. 8am start. The weather promises to be a little dicky and i would say a little predictable for a ride in the morning.

Cloudy. High (70%) chance of showers, most likely in the morning and afternoon. Rain and showers heavy at times in the afternoon and evening with local thunderstorms. Daytime temperatures reaching between 19 and 24.

Riding conditions are getting better by the day. Tomorrow promises to be quite ideal. Darnum start at 8am.

Forecast for a partly, patchy foggy morning with winds north to northwesterly 15 to 20 kph. Day temperatures to 22deg. UV levels to be high after 9:20 am

 

17 October 2015 Ride

Our spring weather is still a bit variable with warm, cool and damp days. Tomorrow is forecast to be partly cloudy. Medium (50%) chance of showers about the ranges, slight (30%) chance elsewhere. Winds southeast to southwesterly 15 to 20 km/h tending northwest to northeasterly 20 to 30 km/h before dawn then tending west to southwesterly in the morning. Overnight temperatures falling to between 8 and 13 with daytime temperatures reaching between 17 and 21.

Start from Darnum at 8am and returning for coffee after.
