20 February 2016 Ride

We have been experiencing a very variable summer. Hot one day, wet and windy on another interspaced with quite cool days and nights.

Saturday will be on the improve so the ride is on starting at 8am from Darnum. Forecast to be partly cloudy with a slight (30%) chance of drizzle about the ranges in the early morning. Near zero chance of rain elsewhere. Light winds. Overnight temperatures falling to between 9 and 12 with daytime temperatures reaching the low 20s.

 

13 February 2016 Ride

The good weather over the last week promises to extend to Saturday at least. The road construction work will be completed so we will be able to ride on our usual roads. Darnum at 8am.

What will the weather really be for tomorrow you might ask. Well it will be moddly sunny with patchy fog in the south in the early morning. Slight (20%) chance of a shower near Wilsons Promontory at night. Winds northwesterly 15 to 25 km/h turning west to southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h in the afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 13 and 16 with daytime temperatures reaching 28 to 34..

 

6 February 2016 Ride

It might be a little windy tomorrow but the forecast promisses to be good for a ride. Please note several sections of Darnum Shady Creek Road is under construction so propose taking an alternate course via Darnum Park Road past Fontera, Stuhrs Road, Nilma Shady Creek Road to Shady Creek then on to Yarragon, Cloverlea  and finally back to Darnum for coffee.

Start from Darnum at 8am for the usual groups. There may be a couple of riders new to our ride so please make them very welcome.

Forecasted to be dry and sunny. Patchy fog in the early morning. Winds east to northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h tending east to southeasterly in the early afternoon then tending east to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 9 and 15 with daytime temperatures reaching 24 to 30. Perfect.

30 January 2016 Ride

2016 is certainly rushing by. Tomorrow will be the last Saturday of the month. This means that we ride from Brandy Creek Winery. Start as always at 8am.

We!ve had the complete four seasons this month with hot, windy, cool and rainy days. Tomorrow may be a little damp but shoul be reasonable for a pleasant ride.

please ensure that you have your rear light batteries and have it on for the ride.

Australia Day Ride 26 January 2016 Drouin

I was asked on our ride on Saturday if there is a ride planned for Australia Day. i hadn’t thought much past lunch that day however after lunch , dinner and then breakfast on Sunday a decision is made. Yes, there will be a ride. Venue: carpark next to the Drouin Bowling Club starting at 8am. The course is to Labertouche and back to Drouin roughly 40km.

It is forecast to be partly cloudy. Slight (20%) chance of a shower about the ranges. The chance of a thunderstorm about the ranges in the afternoon and evening. Light winds becoming easterly 15 to 25 km/h during the day. Overnight temperatures falling to around 12 with daytime temperatures reaching 22 to 27.

23 January 2016 Ride

It has been a  carrousel of weather condition over the last week. Tomorrow, accordingly to the weather men maybe the weather person, promises to pretty good for a ride. It will be a little could and the changes of rain in the morning will be slight to non existent. Winds predicted to be slight southwesterly 15 to 20 kph. We will be staring in Darnum at 8am. Happy and Safe 2016! Trust you all celebrated this festive season in your usual style and put in a few rides to work off the Christmas cheer. Our first ride for the new year. It’s Darnum at 8am. The weather will be a bit cooler than the last few very hot days.

The weather for tomorrow? Cloudy. Medium (50%) chance of rain. The chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening. Winds east to southeasterly with daytime temperatures reaching the low to mid 20s

19 December 2015 Ride

It is the last Saturday ride before Christmas. No rain is forecast however it is predicted to be hot with high UV levels. This being the case and to avoid the heat of the the morning the ride is to start half an hour earlier at 7:30am.

Hot and mostly sunny. Slight (20%) chance of a shower about the inland ranges in the afternoon. Winds northwesterly 35 to 50 km/h tending northerly 25 to 35 km/h in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 16 and 23 with daytime temperatures reaching 34 to 40.

12 December 2015 Ride

Believe it or not it’s less than two weeks away from the big day – Christmas. Darnum is the venue for an 8am start. The weather will be touch and go but with a  half glass full attitude tomorrow morning’s ride will be ok weather wise.

For those wanting to know more about the weather tomorrow – It is slated to be cloudy. Medium (50%) chance of showers in the west, slight (20%) chance elsewhere. Winds west to southwesterly 25 to 35 km/h becoming light in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 4 and 8 with daytime temperatures reaching between 15 and 19.
