9 April Ride and the Baw Baw Classic dinner on 10 April 2016

Lets keep on riding and enjoying whats left of the good autumn weather. Darnum is the venue departing at 8am. Please have your lights on both front and rear and ride safely in your group.

A partly cloudy is in store on Saturday with slight (30%) chance of a shower, mainly near Wilsons Promontory. Light winds becoming west to northwesterly 15 to 20 km/h during the day. Overnight temperatures falling to between 5 and 10 with daytime temperatures reaching between 17 and 22.

The Baw Baw Classic is on on the next day – Sunday 10 April 2016. It should be a very interesting and exciting race. By the way, the Warragul Cycling Club has booked 20+ seats at New Masons Restaurant, Mason Street, Warragul for dinner after the race. Dinner is at 7pm so you will have time to spruce up before dinner. All welcome – riders, support crew, friends, family and non riders. All are welcome. Just turn up for a informal social riding dinner night.

2 April 2016 Ride

Autumn is upon us with cooler and at times with a few damp days. Saturday will be no different. The forecast is for a cloud day with medium (60%) chance of showers in the morning and early afternoon. Winds northwesterly 30 to 45 km/h tending west to southwesterly 20 to 30 km/h in the morning then becoming light in the late evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 11 and 15 with daytime temperatures reaching between 17 and 21.

Rides to depart at 8am from Darnum. Please have your batteries charged and have your lights on especially your rear light.

Ian is on a four day 360km Lions Ride for Sight event so will not be able to join you on Saturday.

28 March 2016 Ride (Easter Monday)

As with our ride on Easter friday there is interest to have a ride on Monday. This being the case a ride from Drouin starting at 8am from the car park besides the Drouin Bowling Club. It will be the usual course as we have done recently. As with all our rides please ride considerately looking out for each other.

It promises to be a good riding morning being cloudy with a slight (20%) chance of a shower in the afternoon. Light winds becoming south to southeasterly 15 to 25 km/h during the afternoon then becoming light during the evening. 26 March 2016 Ride (Brandy Creek Winery)

Happy Easter! Believe it or not tomorrow is the last for March so as usual we start from Brandy Creek Winery at 8am.

Please ride as a group looking out for each other. The forecast is for it to be cloudy with patchy fog about the ranges in the early morning. Good Friday Ride 25 March 2016

There has been several enquires about a ride tomorrow (Good Friday). This being the case we’ll have a ride from Darnum starting at 8am tomorrow. It will be around our usual circuit and will be back mid morning so you will have the best part of the day to celebrate Good Friday.

Forecast to be cloudy. Patchy fog in the early morning. Medium (40%) chance of showers or drizzle in the morning and early afternoon. Light winds becoming west to southwesterly 15 to 20 km/h in the middle of the day then becoming light in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 9 and 13 with daytime temperatures reaching between 16 and 20.

19 March 2016 Ride

Well the first of heavy Autumn rains have arrived however it is predicted to to be not as wet as it is today. 20% chance of showers in the morning so it might be a little damp. Come prepared.

Labour Day 14 March 2016 Ride

As a result from general interest from our ride group for a ride tomorrow there will be one staring in Drouin at 8am from the carpark next to the Drouin Bowling Club. we will ride in two separate groups – one for those wanting to extend themselves both in speed and distance the other for ones who want an easier ride.

It is forecast to be cloudy with medium (40%) chance of showers, most likely at night. Light winds becoming south to southeasterly 15 to 25 km/h in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to around 16 with daytime temperatures reaching between 19 and 23.

12 March 2016 Ride

The recent early autumn rains have abated for the weekend so it will be ideal for a good ride tomorrow. Depart from Darnum at 8am. Please have your rear lights on as a safety measure and ride as a bunch in your respective groups.

It is forecast to be humid and cloudy with patchy fog in the early morning.There is a medium (40%) chance of showers, most likely in the afternoon. The chance of a thunderstorm about the ranges in the afternoon and evening. Light winds. Overnight temperatures falling to between 15 and 18 with daytime temperatures reaching the low to mid 20s.

5 March 2016 Ride

It’s been very hot over the last few days and the Bureau promised it to be warm tomorrow.  Start from Darnum at 8am for all the usual groups.Course distances will depend on the groups ranging from around 30km to 50km. Please have your rear light batteries and have them on for the ride.

Tomorrow will be partly cloud with a slight (20%) chance of a shower. The chance of a thunderstorm about the ranges in the afternoon. Light winds becoming southeast to southwesterly 15 to 20 km/h in the early afternoon then becoming light in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to around 16 with daytime temperatures reaching 25 to 31. Ideal riding weather!

27 February 2016 Ride

Time certainly has flown. It will be one sixth of the calendar year gone in a few days time. Tomorrow will be the last for February so we will be starting from Brandy Creek Winery at 8am.

Please note if you are driving or better still riding from Warragul Old Sale Road is being constructed between Brandy Creek and Buln Buln Road. This being the case suggest that  the better route to Brandy creek Winery will be via Princes Way and Lardners Track and on to Buln Buln Road.
