20 August 2016 Ride

Had great weather over the last few days however the weekend is forecasted to be a little damp. Nevertheless as proper rider we will ride as usual from Darnum departing at 8am.

The weather gods say it will be partly cloudy with a high (70%) chance of showers in the west, medium (40%) chance elsewhere. Snow falling above 800 metres. Possible hail in the late morning. Winds northwesterly 25 to 35 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to between 2 and 5 with daytime temperatures reaching between 7 and 13.

The local rag sys that it has been the wettest July for 20 years and I’m sure with the weather we have been experiencing we can agree with that. Tomorrow however promises to be dry at least so it’s on as usual – Darnum departing at 8am.

Our fare caters say it will be partly cloudy with medium (50%) chance of showers near Wilsons Promontory, slight (30%) chance elsewhere. Isolated light snowfalls possible above 1200 metres. Winds northwesterly 25 to 35 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to between 3 and 7 with daytime temperatures reaching between 10 and 16.

6 August 2016 Ride

The days are staring to get a  little longer and it promises or at least it is forecast for reasonable weather on Saturday. It is slated to be partly cloudy with areas of morning fog with a slight (20%) chance of a shower about the ranges in the late morning and afternoon. Near zero chance of rain elsewhere. Snow possible above 1300 metres. Patchy fog at night. Light winds. Overnight temperatures falling to between minus 1 and 5 above zero with daytime temperatures reaching between 9 and 14.

Depart from Darnum at 8am for our usual ride.

30 July 2016 Ride

The weather for tomorrow promises to be better than what we’ve been having lately. Tomorrow being the last Saturday of the month we will start from Yarragon as we have been doing for the last two months. 8am start.

The weather tomorrow promises to much better than it has been for the last few days. This being the case and with daylight times increasing let’s take advantage to this good weather. Might be a bit brisk but hey, it’s winter. Darnum  for an 8am departure.

9 July 2016 Ride

Tomorrow’s weather is slated to be the best over the last few days and also before Sunday’s forecast rain. Best to take advantage of this better weather although it will be a bit chilly. Rug up. Darnum it is departing at 8am.

It will be partly cloudy. Areas of morning fog. Slight (20%) chance of a shower. Snow possible above 1500 metres. Light winds. Overnight temperatures falling to between 2 and 7 with daytime temperatures reaching between 10 and 15.

2 July 2016 Ride

Ah, the start of the new financial year. Weather promises to be a bit better than the last couple of days. Darnum it is departing at 8am in our usual groups.

Our weather forecasters say it will be partly cloudy. Medium (60%) chance of showers or drizzle near Wilsons Promontory, slight (30%) chance elsewhere. Winds west to northwesterly 20 to 30 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to between 3 and 8 with daytime temperatures reaching between 9 and 16.

What does this mean? Rug up. This is winter.

25 June 2016 Ride

Time has certainly flown. It’s not only the last Saturday of the month but also the last Saturday for the first part of 2016. We are certainly in the grips of winter especially with the weather today – windy freezing, rainy with hail.

As Brandy Creek Winery is still under refurbishment we will start our ride from Yarragon, departing at 8am. There will be a still shorter course for those who do not want the challenge of the longer course. Meet at the carpark at the rear of the shops. Hopefully the weather will be much better than the last few days. In any case rug up!

18 June Ride

Might be a little cloudy and damp but it shouldn’t bother us during the ride. It’s Darnum for an 8am depart. Usual course and groups. There will be several new riders with us for the ride so please make them welcome.

Queen Birthday Holiday Ride 2016

For those interested there will be a ride this Monday starting in Yarragon departing at 8am. Meet in the car park at the rear of the shops.

Propose the ride be a longish one but at a steady pace riding the Westbury Araluan Road circuit (approximately 65+km). Those wanting a shorter course could turn around at several points along the way.

The weather promise to be good albeit a little cool as compared to earlier this weekend. Fog and areas of frost in the morning, locally severe. Sunny afternoon. Winds north to northwesterly 15 to 25 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to between minus 2 and 3 above zero with daytime temperatures reaching between 10 and 15.
