We’ve had ideal riding weather over the last couple of weeks. Tomorrow however looks like it will be a little damp. In spite of this there will be a ride departing from Darnum at 8am.

The Warragul forecast predicts it will be cloudy with areas of fog in the east in the early morning. High (70%) chance of showers however, most likely in the morning and afternoon. The chance of a thunderstorm about the ranges in the morning. Winds north to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h turning west to northwesterly during the morning. Overnight temperatures falling to between 9 and 12 with daytime temperatures reaching between 17 and 23.

17 April 2017 Easter Monday Ride

Ride tomorrow starting from Drouin Bowling car park departing at 8am.

Weather. A little could tonight. Predicted to be partly cloudy with patchy fog in the east in the early morning. Slight (20%) chance of an afternoon shower about the ranges, near zero chance elsewhere. Light winds becoming east to southeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the early afternoon then becoming light in the late afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 5 and 10 with daytime temperatures reaching between 18 and 23.

15 April 2017 Ride – Easter

Happy Easter all! Autumn weather is fast creeping in with variable weather. Tomorrow however promises to be ideal but a little cool for a ride so its Darnum departing at 8am.

There will be areas of morning fog. Partly cloudy. Light winds. Overnight temperatures falling to between 4 and 8 with daytime temperatures reaching between 15 and 20.

There also has been requested for a ride on Easter Monday. The weather for this morning promises to be good so its in on departing at 8am from the Drouin Bowling Club car park.

8 April 2017 Ride

Ride this Saturday before predicted rain and wind on Sunday. Depart from Darnum at 8am. Ian and Brian will be on a four day 400km Lions Ride for Sight starting in Omeo.

Ride safely as a cohesive group with rear lights on.

Weather – Partly cloudy. Medium (60%) chance of showers, most likely in the evening. Winds north to northwesterly 20 to 30 km/h becoming light during the afternoon then becoming northwest to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h during the evening. 1 April 2017 Ride

April Fools Day but in all seriousness we will be riding at 8am from Darnum. Nilma Shady Creek Road is still be repaired and sections are in an unsealed state. This being the case we’ll give this section a miss and ride straight up to Shady Creek before heading to Yarragon along Yarragon Shady Creek Road.

Weather? It is getting a little cooler these days however tomorrow promises to be reasonable tomorrow morning. Predicted to be partly cloudy with patchy fog about the ranges in the early morning. High (70%) chance of showers near Wilsons Promontory, medium (40%) chance elsewhere. Winds northwesterly 15 to 25 km/h turning southwesterly 20 to 30 km/h in the late morning. Overnight temperatures falling to between 4 and 10 with daytime temperatures reaching between 15 and 20.

25 March 2017 Ride – Yarragon

Tomorrows ride from tarragon (last Saturday of March) signifies we have reached a quarter of the calendar year. being the last Saturday of the month we start from Yarragon departing at 8am.

Weather – should be cool and hopefully dry and not too windy. BOM predicts: Partly cloudy. Medium (60%) chance of showers, most likely in the early morning. Winds east to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h becoming light before dawn. Overnight temperatures falling to between 11 and 14 with daytime temperatures reaching 22 to 27.

Baw Baw Classic – volunteers wanted

The annual Baw Baw Classic is on again on Sunday 9 April 2017.  This is a well regarded cycle race event attracting local, interstate and overseas riders. As with previous years the success of this event is heavily dependent on volunteers for point duty, marshalling, registration and being lead and spares vehicles.

Hmm… easterly winds continue after a coupe of respite days. Apart from the winds the morning is forecast to be dry. Darnum departing at 8 am.

There will be sunny patched with patchy fog about the ranges in the early morning. Winds easterly 20 to 30 km/h decreasing to 15 to 20 km/h in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 9 and 14 with daytime temperatures reaching 24 to 29.

13 March 2017 Ride (Labour day)

There have been requests for a ride tomorrow – Labour day. This being the case a ride from Drouin departing from the car park next to the Drouin Bowling Club.at 8am is planned. The ride will be to Labertouch and back.

Weather? Predicyed to be partly cloudy. Slight (20%) chance of a shower. Light winds (this will be a relief from the string easterly winds we’ve been battered with) becoming east to southeasterly 15 to 25 km/h in the early afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 12 and 15 with daytime temperatures reaching 24 to 29.

11 March 2017 Ride

We’ve had ideal but windy riding weather over the last week. The forecast for Saturday suggests Saturday morning’s weather would be dry light winds before the damp sets in later in the day. 8am depart from Darnum.

Saturday will be partly cloudy with slight (30%) chance of a shower in the late afternoon and evening. Light winds becoming east to southeasterly 15 to 25 km/h in the early afternoon then becoming light in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 10 and 14 with daytime temperatures reaching 24 to 29
