Hmm, its been a  bit nippy and tomorrow’s weather will be similar. It’s winter. This means we’ll have to rug up to be comfortable. Darnum it is departing at 8am. Please have your batteries charged and lights on.

12 June 2017 Queens Birthday Holiday Ride

Several requests for a  ride on Queens Birthday have been received so from the strength of these request there will be a  ride tomorrow departing at 8am from the Drouin Bowling Club car park. Please have your batteries charges and lights on for the ride as it might be foggy. There might be a couple of newer riders so please include them in the ride.

10 June 2017 Ride

The weather for the Queens Birthday week end is slated to be dry. Tomorrow will be an ideal morning for ride. 8am depart from Darnum.

There will be areas of morning frost about the ranges. Fog in the morning, mainly in the south. Mostly sunny afternoon apart from the medium (40%) chance of showers near Wilsons Promontory. Light winds. Overnight temperatures falling to between 1 and 6 with daytime temperatures reaching between 11 and 16.

3 June 2017 Ride

Well winter has arrived – at least from the calendar point of view. The days are getting shorter and the cold has definitely  set in. The weather promises to be reasonable tomorrow considering it is winter and we will be riding from Darnum departing at 8am.

It will be partly cloudy. The chance of morning fog. Slight (30%) chance of a shower near Wilsons Promontory, mainly in the morning. Near zero chance of rain elsewhere. Light winds. Overnight temperatures falling to between 2 and 9 with daytime temperatures reaching between 11 and 16.

27 May 2017 Ride

It’s the last Saturday of May so we will be starting from Yarragon, departing at 8am. Choice of courses – Yarragon to Embeltions Road returning via Wheelbarrows Road. The mid distance course is to Westbury and return via Willowgrove Road. The full distance is also to Westbury but returning by Araluen Road. Choose your appropriate group to ride in. Ian is an apology as he is unfortunately away.

20 May 2017 Ride

It is slated to be a  little damp tomorrow however the ride is on as usual departing from Darnum at 8m. Ian will be an apology as he is away for the week.

Predicted very high (90%) chance of rain in the early morning however only light rain.. Areas of morning fog. The chance of a thunderstorm in the early morning. Mostly sunny afternoon. Winds east to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h becoming light before dawn then becoming north to northwesterly 15 to 20 km/h in the middle of the day. Overnight temperatures falling to between 7 and 10 with daytime temperatures reaching between 14 and 20.

13 May 2017 Ride

The forecast is for a cool morning but fine weather – ideal for a  good autumn ride. Depart from Darnum at 8am. Please have lights on especial the rear one and ensure your batteries fully charged.

6 May 2017 Ride

Hmm, after several cold but dry days tomorrow may be a little damp. We’ll ride from Darnum all the same departing at 8am. Please have your front and rear lights on with fully charged batteries.

The morning will be fogy. with a high (80%) chance of showers, most likely in the afternoon and evening. Snow falling above 1100 metres at night. The chance of a thunderstorm near the coast at night. 29 April 2017 Ride

It is the last Saturday of the month so as usual we will gather and depart from Yarragon at 8am. The weather might not be as friendly as it has been over the last week or so but we’ll ride none the less or at least have a coffee.

25 april 2017 ANZAC Day Ride

Once again there has been a request for an ANZAC Day Ride. The weather may not be all that ideal but there will be a ride departing at 8am from the Drouin Bowling Club car park. It will be an approximately 40km ride to Labertouch and back. Rug up for the ride.

It is forecast to for a very high (90%) chance of rain, most likely in the morning. The chance of a thunderstorm in the morning and afternoon. Winds north to northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h turning west to northwesterly 25 to 35 km/h during the morning then decreasing to 15 to 20 km/h in the evening.
