10 March 2018 Ride

It’s going to be hot tomorrow but the morning would be perfect for a ride. Please ride carefully and safely with lights on for your safety. Please also keep off the seal road whenever your need to stop during the ride – especially at our nominated stop locations.

Ian’s ribs are on the mend but is still unable to ride. He will call by to catch up and for coffee.

Saturday’s weather – patchy fog in the early morning. Sunny afternoon. Areas of smoke haze about the ranges. Light winds becoming northwest to southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h in the middle of the day then becoming light in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 10 and 13 with daytime temperatures reaching 26 to 33.

3 March 2013 Ride

Summer weather keeps rolling along. The weather promisses to be good with patchy fog in the early morning. It will be a mostly sunny day with light winds becoming northwest to southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h in the early afternoon then tending south to southwesterly 25 to 35 km/h in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 9 and 13 with daytime temperatures reaching 27 to 32.

Darnum start departing a 8am.

24 February 2018 Ride

The months are flying past fast with the last Saturday of the month looming quickly. Ride to start from Yarragon departing at 8am. Please ride safely in your respective groups. Coffee at Fozzygobbles after the ride.

Reasonably high (80%) chance of showers, most likely in the afternoon and evening so it should not interfere with our ride.Winds north to northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h shifting cooler westerly 25 to 35 km/h in the early afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 17 and 21 with daytime temperatures reaching 25 to 33.

17 February 2018 Ride

Forecast for good weather tomorrow. Start from Darnum departing at 8am.

Mostly sunny with patchy fog in the south in the early morning. Light winds becoming northwest to southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h in the middle of the day then becoming light in the evening. Afternoon coastal seabreezes to 30 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to between 7 and 10 with daytime temperatures reaching 24 to 30.

10 February 2018

Darnum ride tomorrow departing at 8am as usual. It should be a reasonable morning for an outing. Ride safely cohesively in your respective groups keeping a look out for each other. Rear lights on please.

It is forecast to be a sunny morning with medium (60%) chance of showers in the afternoon and evening. The chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and early evening. PS: Sunday Ride – Commonwealth Games Baton Relay

Queen Street will be close  between Smith and Mason Street open Sunday for the Commonwealth Baton Relay. This being the case please muster outside the Old Milk Factory site (between Mason and Gladstone Streets) for our Sunday ride. This goes for all groups.

 

3 February 2018 Ride

It will be a Darnum start departing at 8am. The weather promises to be mild tomorrow which will be perfect for a ride. Please ride in your respective groups and from a safety perspective have your rear light on (batteries charged).

By the way, please note and spread the word Council will be repairing Bona Vista Road in sections between Darnum Allambee Road and the Bona vista Primary School as from Monday 5 February 2018  two weeks. The road will be partially closed but still passable during this construction period. There will be sections where it will be gravely so be careful riding through these sections.

27 January 2018 Ride

The warm weather is certainly with us. Tomorrow will be similarly warm and dry as it has been over the last few days. This means it will be perfect for a ride. It is also the lat Saturday of the months meaning our start venue will be in Yarragon departing at 8am. Depending of the course you choose to ride the distance will be 40km to around 60km.

Some of you would be back from watching the Tour Down Under and we look forward to hearing of your adventure.

It might be a little damp tomorrow nevertheless there will be a ride departing from Darnum at 8am. From a road safety point of view please have your batteries charged and lights on for the ride.

Forecast? Cloudy. Very high (90%) chance of showers. Snow falling about the Alpine peaks at night. The chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening. Winds west to southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to between 11 and 14 with daytime temperatures reaching between 18 and 23.

6 January 2018 Ride 7:30am start

Saturday is slated to be a hot one so to avoid the heat our ride will start at 7:30am. Venue Darnum.

It will be hot and sunny with light winds becoming north to northwesterly 25 to 35 km/h in the morning then turning west to southwesterly in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 15 and 18 with daytime temperatures reaching 34 to 41.

1 January 2018 Ride

Some of us would like to usher in the New year with a ride tomorrow. This being the case there will be a ride departing from Drouin at 8am from the Bowling Club carpark. All welcome.

The ride will be to Labertouche and return when we’ll find a place for coffee.
