16 November Ride

Hmm.. summer has certainly taken a break leaving us with cold, windy and wet weather. The weekend looks like it will turn for the better – let’s hope. Darnum it’s is leaving at 8am. In any event rug up and be ready for a cool ride.

Saturday is predicted to be partly cloudy. Medium (40%) chance of showers near Wilsons Promontory at night. Near zero chance of rain elsewhere. Winds westerly 20 to 30 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to between 3 and 8 with daytime temperatures reaching between 14 and 21.

9 November 2019 Ride

We have been experiencing less than acceptable riding weather over recent days. Tomorrow looks like it will be touch and go and cold in the morning. Rain is predicted in the afternoon so let’s take a chance and have a ride before the weather turn foul. It is Darnum setting off at 8am. Rug up and have your batteries charged and light on for the ride.

Tomorrow is predicted to be cloudy with very high (90%) chance of showers, most likely in the afternoon and evening. Snow falling above 800 metres at first. Possible hail in the morning. Winds westerly 30 to 45 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to between 1 and 6 with daytime temperatures reaching between 9 and 15

2 November 2019 Ride

Ride from Darnum starting at 8am. The weather is forecast is for a damp for a ride tomorrow so come prepared. By the way, Ian is once again unable to join you as he has a Lions working bee to attend. None the less have a safe and enjoyable ride.

It will be humid with a very high (95%) chance of showers. A thunderstorm likely. Heavy falls possible. Winds northwest to northeasterly 20 to 30 km/h becoming northwesterly 15 to 25 km/h in the early afternoon then becoming light in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 14 and 19 with daytime temperatures reaching between 19 and 25.

26 October 2019 Ride

Mmm.. fickly weather has returned after a couple of pleasant days. It is forecast to be damp and cool on Saturday. Nevertheless weather permitting there will be a ride departing at 8am from Darnum. Light on please and rug up for the cold.

Ian will not be riding as he has a Lons Convention to attend and present.

Oi will be cloudy tomorrow with very high (90%) chance of showers in the west, high (70%) chance elsewhere. Snow falling above 1100 metres. The chance of a thunderstorm in the morning. Possible hail in the west. Winds northwesterly 20 to 30 km/h turning westerly 25 to 35 km/h in the middle of the day then decreasing to 15 to 25 km/h in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 7 and 11 with daytime temperatures reaching between 10 and 17.

19 October 2019 Ride

Fickle weather which is forecast to continue into the weekend. It will be cool and hopefully not too damp for a pleasant ride. Ian will not be riding having to be at the Bonsai Display over the weekend. Start in Darnum departing as usual at 8am.

It will be cloudy tomorrow with high (80%) chance of showers in the west, medium (50%) chance elsewhere. Snowfalls above 1000 metres. The risk of thunderstorms and hail in the afternoon and evening. Winds westerly 20 to 25 km/h increasing to 25 to 40 km/h before dawn. Overnight temperatures falling to between 5 and 8 with daytime temperatures reaching between 10 and 16

12 October 2019 Ride

Sunshine but it will be cool with easterly winds tomorrow morning. It will be rug up time at least for the first part of the ride. Please have batteries charged and lights on for a safe ride. Start venue will be Darnum departing at 8am.

Forecast to be cloudy with slight (20%) chance of a shower. Snow possible above 1700 metres. The chance of a thunderstorm about the ranges in the afternoon and early evening. Winds easterly 15 to 25 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to between 3 and 7 with daytime temperatures reaching between 13 and 18.

5 October 2019 Ride

Cool and foggy tomorrow for a  pleasant riding weather. Depart from Darnum at 8am. Several of the group are going to ride the annual Around the Bay or the AMG event on Sunday. Now would be a good time to have a gentle ride in preparation for the event. In any case this is defnitely the time to carbo load and hydrate. This will keep the “engine” fully fuelled for the task ahead.

28 September 2019 Ride (AFL Grand Final)

We’re back on site after a slight glitch. Thanks Jason and Linda for getting the site up and running again.

We’ve had pretty good riding weather over the last week. Tomorrow is forecast to be cooler tomorrow morning but reasonable for a good ride.

Being the last Saturday of the month we will start our Grand Final Ride from Yarragon departing at 8am.

Winds west to southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h becoming light early in the morning then becoming west to southwesterly 15 to 20 km/h in the morning. Not a promising forecast for a ride tomorrow. Nevertheless from a positive perspective let’s see what will happen tomorrow by turning up to see what our options will be. Darnum it is departing at 8am.
