12 June 2021 Ride

What can I say! It has been very wet cold and windy all week and it looks like it will it will continue over the weekend. Hopefully it will not rain in the morning so let’s have a go for a ride. Rug up appropriately. *am depart from Darnum.

It is predicted to be cloudy with very high (90%) chance of showers, most likely during the day. Winds west to northwesterly 20 to 30 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to between 4 and 9 with daytime temperatures reaching between 9 and 15.

Latest weather forecast indicate it will be wet tomorrow. So the ride may not occur but with ever positive or delusional  Ian will be there with his bike for a ride should it not be raining in the morning. Otherwise it will be coffee instead. Join Ian if it is raining?

5 June 2021 Ride

Covid19 restrictions have been lifted with certain requirements allowing us to resume our normal Saturday ride. Darnum it is departing at 8am. Please observe wearing masks and QR check ins during our after ride coffee at the General Store.

The weather leading up to the weekend has been very cold in the morning but dry and sunny. Tomorrow’s weather is forecast to be chilly and hopefully dry. Rug up appropriately. For our own safety please have charged batteries and have your light on for the ride.

It will be partly cloudy with morning frost. The chance of morning fog in the southeast. Medium (50%) chance of showers in the west during the afternoon and evening, slight (20%) chance elsewhere. Snow possible above 1400 metres. Winds west to northwesterly and light becoming northwesterly 15 to 25 km/h in the morning then increasing to 25 to 35 km/h in the middle of the day. Overnight temperatures falling to between minus 1 and 4 above zero with daytime temperatures reaching between 8 and 14.

 

29 May 2021 Ride

Yes, the weather is forecast to be good tomorrow morning. Yes, its the last Saturday of May BUT the recent Covid lockdown restricts many of us to ride our usual Yarragon circuit. This being the case I suggest those who should ride from Yarragon to do so and the other will have to ride within their 5kn radius zone.

Ian will be one of those who will have to ride somewhere closer to Warragul.

It will be partly cloudy with areas of fog in the southwest in the early morning. Areas of morning frost about the ranges. Light winds. Overnight temperatures falling to between zero and 4 with daytime temperatures reaching between 8 and 14.

22 May 2021

Frosty and cloudy morning tomorrow. At least it is forecast not to rain. Needless to say rugging up for the ride will be order of the morning. Darnum is the venue starting at 8am.

Ian will not be riding this weekend but will return for our next ride.

15 May 2021 Ride

Winter weather is pushing in at least for the next few days. Come prepared for cold and damp weather. 8am depart from Darnum.

Ian unfortunately will be away and will catch you all the Saturday following.

It will be cloudy with very high (95%) chance of showers, most likely in the morning. Snow falling above 600 metres. The chance of a thunderstorm in the south in the early morning. Possible hail. Winds west to northwesterly 25 to 35 km/h turning southwesterly early in the morning then tending westerly 15 to 20 km/h in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 3 and 6 with daytime temperatures reaching between 6 and 13.

8 May 2021 Ride

Our mild autumn weather is forecast to continue. A little cool and foggy start but the day promised to warm up for pleasant ride. Venue is Darnum setting g off at 8am.

It will be mostly sunny with patchy fog in the east in the early morning. Medium (60%) chance of showers in the west during the late afternoon and evening, slight (30%) chance elsewhere. Light winds becoming westerly 15 to 25 km/h in the morning then becoming light in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to around 10 with daytime temperatures reaching between 16 and 21

1 May 2021 Ride

Mild autumn weather over the last few days promises to continue tomorrow. Our chance to take advantage of this weather before cooler weather kicks in. Darnum it is leaving at 8am.

The chance of fog in the early morning. Mostly sunny day. Light winds becoming north to northwesterly 15 to 20 km/h in the middle of the day then becoming light in the early afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 6 and 9 with daytime temperatures reaching between 19 and 25.

 

24 April 2021 Ride – Yarragon

Believe it or not tomorrow’s Saturday is the last in April. This means we start from Yarragon setting off at 8am for our usual Westbury circuit. Prepare for all weather eventualities and have your batteries charged and light on please.

Jude and Garry will be riding the 150km Otway class tomorrow so they will be apologies. We wish them a safe and enjoyable ride.

It might be a  little damp and cool tomorrow but the heavy weather is forecast to be latter in the morning. So let’s take advantage of the earlier lighter weather. Come prepare for all weather eventualities. Darnum it is setting off at 8am.
