30 October 2021 Ride

Not sure how to call tomorrow’s ride. The weather last night and all of today has been really awful with very strong wind and heavy rainfall. Hopefully it will settle tomorrow sufficient for us to have a reasonable ride. It’s also the last Saturday of October so we start from Yarragon as usual at 8am. Catch you then.

23 October 2021 Ride

The last couple days of perfect weather will not last according to the forecast. It will be wet so the chances fo having a reasonable weather for our ride will be somewhat reduced. Weather permitting the ride will start at 8am from Darnum.

Ian will be a non starter as he has to attend an all day Lion’s Convention Zoom meeting.

16 October 2021 Ride

Spring has taken a short break and handed winter to control the weather at least for the next few days according to the forecast. Nevertheless there might be a short break in the weather in the morning for us to have a ride, albeit on wet roads. Rock up at Darnum ready to set off at 8am – weather permitting.

It will be Cloudy with very high (95%) chance of showers, most likely in the morning and early afternoon. Snow falling above 1500 metres. Winds west to northwesterly 20 to 30 km/h tending west to southwesterly 30 to 45 km/h before dawn. Finally,….good mild weather forecast for tomorrow before cracking on Sunday. Time to drag out our summer gear but still have your batteries charged and have your lights on. Ride to start st 8 from Darnum.

2 October 2021 Ride

While the forecast for tomorrow is for showers in the morning, let’s hope the predicted showers stay away for most of the early part of the morning allowing us to ride. If not it will be coffee instead. nevertheless prepared to set off from Darnum at 8am.

25 September 2021 Ride

It’s the last Saturday of September so our ride is to start from Yarragon at 8am. There is an ill westerly wind blowing and looks like continuing till tomorrow. Nevertheless lets hope things will settle down, Less for all weather eventualities. Meet as usual at the car park at rear of the shops before we set off for Westbury and back. We might have to abandon if the winds continues to be too strong. It will be coffee then.

18 September 2021 Ride

It might be a little damp tomorrow but at least it won’t be freezing. Let’s hope the predicted morning showers will keep away until later in the day. Restrictions have been lifted so we better take advantage of it. 8am start from Darnum.

11 September 2021 Ride

Not quite ‘Freedom Day’ but we are allowed to meet and ride as a group once more. Hopefully things will improve when vaccination numbers increase.

The weather looks pretty good albeit a little windy so let’s take advantage of our new found freedom for a catching up. It’s still from Darnum departing at 8am.

4 September 2021 Ride

As much as we would like to meet and ride together, two things will be in our way – tomorrow’s weather and the continuation of our lock down. I’m told it is our seventh. We have to continue riding within our 5km zone until we are told otherwise.

28 August 2021 Ride

Trust you are all well. Twenty two days into our 6th Covid lockdown and restrictions limiting us to ride within 5km from home. It would normally be a Yarragon-Westbury ride for us but for the lockdown. No point complaining. We just have to do our part in beating this insidious Delta strain.

This doesn’t mean we can’t ride but we have to do this in pairs within 5km from home. For your on road safety please ride with your lights on.
