29 September 2018 Grand Final Ride

Last Saturday of September so we start our ride from Yarragon departing at 8am. It will be a cool and slightly damp  start so rug up appropriately

Weather permitting there will also be a ride from Warragul (clock tower) to our Yarragon venue where we will join the normal Yarragon ride and then return to Warragul after a short coffee break. Depart Warragul at 7am.

Tomorrow will be  cloudy with a 70% chance of showers in the west, medium (40%) chance elsewhere. Snow falling above 700 metres. Possible hail in the morning. The chance of a thunderstorm near the coast in the early morning. Winds west to northwesterly 15 to 20 km/h tending west to southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h before dawn then becoming light in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 2 and 5 with daytime temperatures reaching between 9 and 15.

22 September 2018 Ride

Ride tomorrow from Darnum, departing at 8am. Have your batteries charged and lights on. Should be a dry with light winds in morning albeit a little cool.

Spring type weather is slowly taking over. Tomorrow will be partly cloudy with areas of fog in the early morning. Slight (30%) chance of a shower near Wilsons Promontory at night. Near zero chance of rain elsewhere. Light winds becoming northwest to southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h in the morning then becoming light in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 4 and 8 with daytime temperatures reaching between 15 and 21.

 

 

15 September 2018 Ride

Ahh…, we’ve had several mild spring days recently however it is going to turn to a damp day according to the Bureau. Let’s hope the early morning hours will be a little dry for a our unusual 40km ride. Darnum its is departing at 8am sharp.

PTomorrow will be partly cloudy with very high (95%) chance of showers in the west, high (70%) chance elsewhere. Snow falling above 500 metres. The chance of a thunderstorm with gusty winds and possible hail in the afternoon and evening. Winds north to northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h shifting westerly 35 to 50 km/h in the morning then decreasing to 25 to 35 km/h in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to around 10 with daytime temperatures reaching between 15 and 20.

Ian unfortunately will not be unable to join you for the ride but intends to ride on Sunday with the general Sunday ride. See you then.

For those who ride on Sunday and finish at Frankies for coffee for your safety and good road manners could you please ride up to the Victoria – Palmerston Street roundabout to park in the bike racks and along the footpath outside Frankies. There has been a recent unfortunate accident when a rider has fallen when another rider decided to ride across the continuous white line to finish his ride. This is for your and others safety. Your operation will be notices and appreciated.

8 September 2018 Ride

Spring has finally decided to edge out winter chills for the interim. Tomorrow promises to be a dry albeit a slightly chilly morning. This means that we would only have to rug up appropriately for the milder weather to be a pleasant ride.

Tomorrow is forecast to be a patchy morning with fog and frost. It will be partly cloudy with slight (20%) chance of a shower near Wilsons Promontory at night. Light winds becoming northwest to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the late evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between zero and 4 with daytime temperatures reaching between 11 and 17.
